Group/organization/demographic you are most driven to help: Right now it’s my campaign for the Oregon House of Representatives! But also Tunes on Tuesday, Bike Newberg, Oregon Safe Routes to School, Portland Sunday Parkways, the Yamhill County Bar Association, and now, Newberg Oktoberfest!
When I have a day off I: Go biking, kayaking, hiking, snowboarding, climbing, or something else along those lines.
When I have an out-of-town visitor, the top 3 things they should do in Yamhill Valley are: Go wine tasting, rent a kayak from the Chehalem Paddle Launch, and hit up Tunes on Tuesday.

Ryan Howard’s confidence oozes out of him in easy conversation starters. In fact, I met him at a community discussion regarding the Newberg Cultural Corridor. He walked up to us (Francisco Stoller, Nate Travers and I) and basically said, “What are you doing here?” And we said, “What are YOU doing here, why are you so confident, and who are you?” Since then, Ryan Howard has taken Newberg by storm. He has joined all of the committees in all of the land and is active and reliable. He is passionate about bikes, safety, land use, outdoor activity accessibility for all, and MANY more.
